Cal Poly Humboldt's
Grace Kasberger and
Travis Allen put on quite the performance at the 37th Annual Chico Multi Event this week. Both athletes posted multiple life time best marks placing first and second respectively against the collegiate fields.
"Cal Poly Humboldt had a phenomenal competition over the past two days here in Chico," said head coach
Sarah Ingram. "Travis set 7 new lifetime personal bests out of his 10 events, and Gracie set 5 new lifetime bests out of her 7 events. Overall, they each achieved new Hep/Dec lifetime best scores by over 500 points! That type of success in a multi-event competition is hard to come by. I am incredibly proud of these two athletes' performances, and the way they competed with confidence and good sportsmanship. After every event, it felt like fellow competitors and spectators alike were always watching us, because we were constantly celebrating. High 5's, hugs, and smiles all day! It's been a great couple days, and it's exciting to bring this momentum back home to the rest of our team, as we prepare for our next meet down at Stan State."
