ARCATA, Calif. - Cal Poly Humboldt junior
Isabel Perez-Zoghbi has been named the
2026 USTFCCCA NCAA Division II West Region Women's Track Athlete of the Year, recognizing her as the top women's track athlete in the West Region following a historic outdoor season.
Perez-Zoghbi becomes one of the region's most decorated student-athletes after an outstanding 2026 campaign that culminated with a runner-up finish in the 800 meters at the NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field Championships, earning All-America honors while rewriting the Cal Poly Humboldt record book. Throughout the outdoor season, she also claimed a CCAA championship, earned USTFCCCA All-West Region recognition, and established herself among the nation's elite middle-distance runners.
The USTFCCCA Regional Awards honor the top athletes and coaches in each of the NCAA Division II's eight regions. Winners are selected by the USTFCCCA based on performances throughout the outdoor season and are among the organization's highest regional honors.
Perez-Zoghbi's award adds another milestone to one of the most successful individual seasons in program history and highlights the continued rise of Cal Poly Humboldt Track & Field on the regional and national stage.
