ARCATA, Calif. – Cal Poly Humboldt cross country and track & field student-athlete Isabel Perez-Zoghbi has been named a 2025-26 College Sports Communicators (CSC) First Team Academic All-American®, recognizing her extraordinary accomplishments in the classroom and on the track.
The CSC Academic All-America® program honors the nation's top student-athletes for their combined academic and athletic excellence. Perez-Zoghbi becomes one of the select student-athletes across NCAA Division II to earn First Team recognition, highlighting a remarkable junior campaign that established her among the nation's elite both academically and competitively.
Perez-Zoghbi capped a historic outdoor season by finishing as the NCAA Division II National Runner-Up in the women's 800 meters, setting a school-record time of 2:02.95. Throughout the 2025-26 season, she captured CCAA championships in both the 800m and the 3000m steeplechase, and cemented her place as one of the most accomplished student-athletes in Cal Poly Humboldt track & field history.
In the classroom, Perez-Zoghbi has been equally exceptional. The junior chemistry major has maintained a 4.00 GPA while balancing the demands of collegiate athletics. Her commitment to academic excellence exemplifies the standard of achievement celebrated by the CSC Academic All-America® program.
Perez-Zoghbi advanced to the national ballot after earning CSC Academic All-District® honors earlier this summer. Her selection to the First Team Academic All-America® recognizes her as one of the top scholar-athletes in NCAA Division II and reflects Cal Poly Humboldt's continued tradition of excellence in academics and athletics.
