DAM WORTH IT, BIG GAME AND SENIOR DAY THIS WEEKEND AT SOFTBALL'S FINAL HOME STAND
Cal Poly Humboldt's softball team will host nationally ranked Cal State San Marcos in the Jacks' final home stand of the 2022 season. Friday's doubleheader is scheduled to start at 1pm. Prior to the game and during the game, Humboldt will be spreading awareness about mental health as it is the Jacks' Dam Worth It Games. Saturday's doubleheader is the Jacks' Big Game and Senior Day. The doubleheader is scheduled to start at 11am. Between the games, Humboldt will recognize its four seniors in Katelyn Dendas, Megan Holt, Emily McAdams and JoAna Mullins. All four games will take place at Humboldt's Softball Field.
SEVENTH RANKED ROWING HEADING TO SACRAMENTO FOR WIRA'S
The seventh ranked Cal Poly Humboldt women's rowing team will be heading to WIRA Championships this weekend, April 30-May 1. The championships will take place at Lake Natoma in Sacramento. Saturday will the heats will be taking place with the finals set for Sunday. In the first NCAA Division II Women's Rowing Regional Rankings last week, the Jacks are second as a team as is their varsity 8+ while the varsity four+ is fourth. The next regional rankings are set for May 3.
19 JACKS ARE RANKED IN THE TOP TEN IN THE CCAA IN THEIR RESPECTIVE EVENTS HEADING INTO CCAA'S
Nineteen Cal Poly Humboldt Lumberjack track and field student-athletes are ranked in the top ten in the CCAA in their respective events. Leading the way is
Joy Hano who is in the top ten in five events. She is second in the 100 hurdles, seventh in the long jump, ninth in the 100 and is sixth as a part of the 4x100 and 4x400 relay teams.
For the Lumberjack women, five other Jacks are in the top ten in

For the Jack men eight student-athletes are in the top ten in
Jared Del Real (sixth, shot put; sixth, discus), Kegan Richards (fourth, discus; ninth, shot put), Travis Allen (fourth, long jump; sixth, decathlon), Grant Van Emmerik (third, 400; seventh, 200), Aris Valerio (fifth, 800; eight, 1500), Jaxon Leduc (seventh, 3000 steeplechase), Jonathan Sweeney (ninth, pole vault) and Jason Trent (eighth, javelin). The 4x100 relay team of Ryan Castro,
Malachi Arthur, Allen and Van Emmerik are sixth. The team of Van Emmerik,
Julian Jensen, Dominic Raffetto and Valerio are sixth in the 4x400 relay.
The CCAA Track & Field Championships are set for May 5-7 at Cox Stadium on the campus of San Francisco State University in San Francisco.
JACKS RANKED NATIONALLY AND, IN THE CONFERENCE
Four members of the Cal Poly Humboldt softball team are in the top eight in the CCAA in several individual categories. Micaela Harris leads the CCAA in stolen bases and is second in on-base percentage, runs scored, hits and triples. She is fifth in slugging percentage, seventh in batting average and tied for eighth in home runs. Harris is also in the top 15 in the nation in stolen bases (first), stolen bases per game (fourth) and triples (twelfth).
Izzy Starr is third in the conference in hits while she is tied for third in doubles. She is tied for fourth in runs batted in, tied for fifth in home runs, ninth in slugging percentage and tenth in batting average. Vanessa Saltos leads the CCAA in home runs and is seventh in runs batted in while JoAna Mullins is eighth in hits.
ALUMNI GAMES SET FOR THIS SATURDAY
Cal Poly Humboldt women's soccer, men's soccer and volleyball teams will all be holding their annual alumni matches this Saturday, April 30. The Jack women's soccer match will take place at 12pm followed by the men's soccer match at 2:30pm. Both matches will take place at College Creek Field. Humboldt's alumni volleyball match will start at 4pm in Lumberjack Arena.

HANO AND VAN EMMERIK ARE THIS WEEK'S HUMBOLDT STATE LUMBERJACK STUDENT-ATHLETES OF THE WEEK
This week's Cal Poly Humboldt Lumberjacks' student-athletes of the week are track and field student-athletes
Joy Hano and Grant Van Emmerik.

Hano won the 100 hurdles with a time of 15.00 in the finals and the long jump with a jump of 17-4.25. She also was part of the 4x100 relay team that placed third with a time of 49.26. Earlier in the day, Hano ran a 14.62 in the prelims.

Van Emmerik captured the 400 with a time of 48.14. This is the fourth fastest time in school history. He also was a member of the 4x100 relay team that finished second.
