ARCATA, Calif.----Eight members of the Cal Poly Humboldt Lumberjacks women's rowing team were named to the 2021-22 Great Northwest Athletic Conference (GNAC) All-Academic Team, presented by Barnes & Noble College. These eight are
Marie-Claire Desplancke,
Megan Franco,
Cassidy Hollenbeck,
Kierstyn Hughes,
Marjorie Johnson,
Sophie Reich,
Kealey Scott and
Malia Seeley.
Seeley is a three-time recipient of the GNAC All-Academic Team and Johnson is a two-time recipient.
Honorees for the GNAC All-Academic teams must be in their sophomore year of eligibility or greater and have a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 or higher. The Lumberjacks had eight of the 39 honorees that were named to this year's GNAC Women's Rowing All-Academic Team.
Cal Poly Humboldt is an affiliated member of the GNAC. The three other members of the GNAC for women's rowing are Central Oklahoma, Seattle Pacific and Western Washington.
The Jacks will return to the water this Saturday-Saturday, April 30-May 1 at Lake Natoma in Rancho Cordova, Calif. This will be the Jacks' last regatta until they compete in the 2022 GNAC Championships on May 14 at Dexter Lake in Dexter, Oregon.
