FRESNO, Calif. — Cal Poly Humboldt's women's cross country team wrapped up the CCAA Championships with standout freshman
Artana Nice claiming All-CCAA honors and being named the CCAA Freshman of the Year for her impressive 11th place finish in the women's 6K race. Nice's remarkable debut season culminated in her finish of 21:47, making her one of the conference's top newcomers.
Humboldt's women's team scored 215 points, securing ninth place overall among a competitive field of eleven teams. The meet saw perennial powerhouse Chico State clinch the championship title with 43 points, followed closely by Stanislaus State and Cal Poly Pomona. Humboldt's finish reflected steady progress throughout the season, bolstered by Nice's consistent front-running performances.
Artana Nice's All-CCAA recognition and Freshman of the Year award mark a significant achievement for Humboldt's program and underline her status as one of the top freshmen in the CCAA. Her performance is a promising foundation as Humboldt looks forward to building on this year's success.
