BILLINGS, Mont. – The Cal Poly Humboldt men's cross country team wrapped up their 2024 season at the NCAA Division II West Region Cross Country Championships, hosted by Montana State University Billings at Amend Park. The team finished 15th overall of 22 teams, with a total time of 2:42:25.
Top finishers for Cal Poly Humboldt were led by
Carson Smith, who finished 45th with a time of 31:51.9. Following him were teammates
Otis Kelly (63rd, 32:21.9) and
Sebastian Vaisset-Fauvel (78th, 32:40.4). Additionally,
Finn Granger (83rd, 32:42.4),
Jonah Grubbs (87th, 32:48.7),
James Woolery (93rd, 33:03.2), and
RJ Kennedy (121st, 34:13.7) contributed to the team's overall score.
The event marked the conclusion of the 2024 cross country season for Cal Poly Humboldt, as the team faced strong West Region competition. The men's 10k race was part of a competitive field that saw Chico State take first place with a total time of 2:33:54, narrowly edging out Western Washington, who finished second.
