SEATTLE, Wash. -- On Saturday morning, Cal Poly Humboldt Women's Rowing raced against Division II opponents for the first time this season after competing in the Falcon Regatta that was hosted by Seattle Pacific. Racing from the Lake Washington Ship Canal, there were two waves of morning races that featured the 2V4, Varsity 4, Varsity 8, and 2V8 boats.
The 2V4 boat featured coxswain
Giania Bogacki,
Emma Wilson (1),
Sarah Lorenzini (2),
Kylie Mosley (3), and
Lucy Eckelman (4). In both of their races at 8am and 10am, the boat recorded second place finishes behind Seattle Pacific with times of 8:38.1 and 8:33.7.
The second round of races featured the Varsity 4 boats of Cal Poly Humboldt, Seattle Pacific and University of Central Oklahoma. The Lumberjack race lineup for the V4 was coxswain

Sydney Schwankl (3), and
Adrineh Smith (4). The 8:15am and 10:15am races had the same finish order as Seattle Pacific won both heats, followed by Humboldt in second place and University of Central Oklahoma in third place. The 'Jacks finished with times of 8:06.5 in heat one and 8:12.2 in heat two.
Up next was the Varsity 8 boats of all three schools. The Humboldt lineup saw coxswain

Ellie Walters (2),
Emry Yount (3),
Emily Marsolais (4),
Lulu Voss (5),
Dana Foley (6),
Gwen Sutton (7), and
Kealey Scott (8). The 8:30am and 10:30am waves of races saw the same results, as the University of Central Oklahoma took the wins and were followed by Humboldt in second place and Seattle Pacific in third place. Humboldt had race times of 7:13.8 in the first and 7:09.8 in the second.
The final races were the 2V8 boats of Cal Poly Humboldt, University of Washington, and Seattle Pacific that competed at 8:45am and 10:45am. Coxswain

Linea Vizenor (4),
Lily Hanson (5),
Dayanara Anaya (6),
Amelia Farleigh (7), and
Abby Beck-Farrell (8). The Huskies of Washington took the win in both races, which was followed by Seattle Pacific in second place, and the 'Jacks in third place. Humboldt race times were 8:06.1 in the first round and 8:04.4 in the second round.
"I appreciate Seattle Pacific for hosting the race," stated head coach Matt Weise. "All three teams did a great job of pushing each other down the race course. We have some adjustments to make to find more speed in our varsity 8 and varsity 4. These early races are important to help us see where we can improve."
