ARCATA, Calif. – The Cal Poly Humboldt women's soccer team is set to continue down the last stretch of the 2025 regular season with a pair of key matchups this weekend. The 'Jacks travel to UC Merced on Friday, Oct. 31, before returning home to College Creek Field for their final home contest against Cal State Monterey Bay on Sunday, Nov. 2.

The match at UC Merced is scheduled for 12:30 p.m. PT, while Sunday's home match will kick off at 11:30 a.m. PT. 

LAST TIME OUT

Humboldt (5-5-5, 3-2-3 CCAA) came up short in a tightly contested 1-0 loss at Cal State LA last Sunday. Despite outshooting the Golden Eagles 21-10 and controlling much of the second half, the 'Jacks were unable to convert several quality chances, including a first-half penalty kick that hit the post. Goalkeepers Ari Beddoes and Carson Thomson-Terrel combined for five saves, while the defense held Cal State LA to just six shots on goal.

NO MERCY AGAINST UC MERCED

UC Merced (6-6-3, 3-5 CCAA) has fallen in three straight appearances, all by one goal. The Bobcats' balanced attack will test a Humboldt defense that has been among one of the most organized in the CCAA. This marks their first and only matchup this season.

OVERTHROWING THE OTTERS

Sunday will bring the 'Jacks back to Arcata for their final regular season home match. 

The Cal State Monterey Bay women (5-7-3, 3-4-1 CCAA) have shown flashes of offensive creativity this fall, but have struggled to find consistency in conference play. Humboldt, currently sitting fourth in the CCAA standings, will look to secure its postseason position with a strong finish in front of the home crowd.
