BERKELEY, Calif. – Representing Cal Poly Humboldt at UC Berkeley, Isaak Kasso turned in a strong showing at the 2025 Brutus Hamilton Multi, held April 3–4 at Edwards Stadium, finishing 15th overall and 7th among NCAA Division II competitors in the decathlon with a total score of 5,128 points.
Kasso notched personal bests in four of the ten events, including the 100 meters (11.71), 400 meters (58.18), javelin throw (42.48m / 139'4"), and 1500 meters (5:24.72), demonstrating impressive progression across multiple disciplines.
He shined brightest in the 110-meter hurdles, clocking a time of 15.23 seconds—good for 2nd place in the event among all competitors.
Additional highlights from his decathlon performance include a 7th-place finish in the shot put (11.08m / 36'4.25") and steady efforts in the discus (29.75m), pole vault (2.75m), high jump (1.63m), and long jump (5.19m).
Kasso's performance adds valuable momentum for the Lumberjacks as the track and field season continues to build toward postseason competition.
