ARCATA, Calif. – Cal Poly Humboldt women's soccer opened its 2025 preseason with a strong performance, earning a 3-0 exhibition victory over Folsom Lake College on Thursday afternoon at College Creek Field.
The Lumberjacks and Falcons squared off in a unique format of three 30-minute periods, with Humboldt finding the net in each frame. Reigning CCAA Freshman of the Year Heidie Munoz struck first in the opening period, giving the Jacks early momentum. Freshman Karsyn Ross added to the lead with a goal in the second, before senior Morgan Young sealed the win with a tally in the third period.
Humboldt's defense held firm throughout, keeping the Falcons off the board to complete the shutout. Carson Thomson-Terrel, Adea Nunes, and Ari Beddoes had the combined shutout in goal.
