SAN RAFAEL, Calif. — Cal Poly Humboldt women's soccer will hit the road for the first time this season on Saturday, Sept. 13, taking on Fresno Pacific at 11:30 a.m. PT at Kennelly Field, a neutral site in San Rafael. The Lumberjacks are looking to notch their first victory of the 2025 campaign as they transition into a stretch of away contests.

LAST TIME OUT

The Lumberjacks (0-2-1) fell 1-0 to Biola on Thursday in a tightly contested match to close out their season-opening homestand. Despite outshooting the Eagles 16-12 and earning six corner kicks to Biola's two, Humboldt couldn't find the back of the net after conceding the game's lone goal in the 11th minute.

Karsyn Ross and Camryn Patten powered Humboldt's attack, combining for almost half of the team's shots (7) and half of the team's shots on goal (3). Humboldt's defense locked down after the early score, holding Biola scoreless in the final 79 minutes while the offense generated sustained pressure, coming up just short of an equalizer.

FIGURING OUT FRESNO PACIFIC

The Lumberjacks enter Saturday's match having faced the Sunbirds three times, with their most recent matchup ending favorably in a 3-0 shutout. The 'Jacks, scoreless through their last three games, will look to hold themselves to that standard and replicate that kind of offensive performance against a team they have historically earned victories against. 

The matchup marks the first of back-to-back road games for the Lumberjacks, who will focus on carrying their home-field energy onto neutral turf as they continue to build chemistry and sharpen execution early in the season.

After Saturday's matchup, the Lumberjacks will continue their road stretch with a couple non-conference contests against CSU Pueblo and UCCS. The 'Jacks will play CSU Pueblo first on Thursday, Sept. 18 in Pueblo, Colo. at 6 p.m. PT, followed by UCCS on Saturday, Sept. 20 in Colorado Springs, Colo. at 1 p.m. PT.
