MONMOUTH, Ore. – Cal Poly Humboldt men's soccer continues its early-season road slate on Thursday, Sept. 18 as the Lumberjacks face Saint Martin's at 1 p.m. PT on WOU Soccer Field. Humboldt looks to rebound from a tough loss on its recent trip to Honolulu, Hawai'i and gain traction heading into the next stretch of its schedule. 

LAST TIME OUT
The Lumberjacks (1-2-1) fell 3-1 to Hawai'i Pacific on Saturday afternoon at Waipio Peninsula Soccer Stadium. Nathan Murff scored the lone goal for Humboldt in the 10th minute, giving the Lumberjacks an early lead. Humboldt controlled the early stages but couldn't contain the Sharks' offense in the second half. 

Humboldt was able to tally four shots on goal and four corners, but could not find a way back into the match.

SETTING SIGHTS ON THE SAINTS
Humboldt now turns its attention to Saint Martin's (0-4), who are looking for their first win of the season. The Lumberjacks and Saints have met three times previously, with Humboldt holding a 2-1 advantage. 

In the last matchup, Humboldt earned a commanding 3-0 shutout victory. Thursday's game marks the third of Humboldt's six-game road stretch as the Lumberjacks aim to recover from Saturday's loss and set the tone early against the Saints.
