ARCATA, Calif. – Cal Poly Humboldt women's soccer will close out its non-conference slate on Saturday, Sept. 27, when the Lumberjacks host San Francisco State at 11:30 a.m. PT at College Creek Field. Humboldt looks to rebound from a tough road trip to Colorado and finish the non-conference portion of its schedule strong.
LAST TIME OUT
The Lumberjacks (1-3-2) fell 3-0 to No. 19 University of Colorado Colorado Springs on Saturday at Mountain Lion Stadium. Humboldt created six shots in the second half but were unable to overcome the Mountain Lions' stout defense. Brooke Pavlich scored twice for UCCS in the first half, assisted by Abby Stassi and Elise Broberg, before Casey Tadlock added an insurance goal in the 74th minute off a Malia Groshong feed. Humboldt goalkeepers Carson Thomson-Terrel and Ari Beddoes recorded three saves on the day, while UCCS's Nylah Mirshafiei made five saves to secure the shutout.
GAME-PLANNING FOR THE GATORS
San Francisco State (0-4-2) comes to Arcata looking to notch its first win of the season. Humboldt will aim to carry over defensive organization and increase offensive efficiency against the Gators, as they hope to close out non-conference play with a strong home performance.
The 'Jacks are 7-11-4 all-time against the Gators. The last meeting between the two teams ended in a 0-0 stalemate.

Following the contest against the Gators, Humboldt will begin CCAA play as they travel home to face conference opponents Cal State San Marcos and Cal State Dominguez Hills in the coming weeks.
