MONMOUTH, Ore. - The Cal Poly Humboldt women's cross country team returns to competition Saturday, Sept. 26, at the Mike Johnson Classic in Monmouth, Oregon.

The meet will take place at Ash Creek Preserve and will be Humboldt's second competition of the 2026 season.

LAST TIME OUT

Freshman Amaya Uvalle won the individual crown and Humboldt placed all five of its scoring runners inside the top 10 to capture the Jim Hunt Invitational team championship.

Uvalle completed the 6K course in 22:45.3, finishing more than 43 seconds ahead of the runner-up in her collegiate debut. Fellow freshman Sally Woodruff placed third in 23:30.7.

Analise Miller finished fifth in 23:41.6, Samantha Brink placed eighth in 23:59.3 and Lyla Fedio completed Humboldt's scoring group with a 10th-place finish in 24:08.0.

The Lumberjacks finished with 24 points, placing 10 points ahead of Southwestern Oregon Community College. Humboldt also received top-15 finishes from Ariana Garcia and Matilda Fitzgerald.

MIKE JOHNSON CLASSIC

Saturday's meet will give the Lumberjacks their first road competition of the season and an opportunity to race on the Ash Creek Preserve course.

The field will provide Humboldt with a larger test as the Lumberjacks continue building toward the championship portion of their schedule.

Humboldt will return to Oregon on Saturday, Oct. 3, to compete at the Charles Bowles Invitational at McCulloch Stadium.
