ARCATA, Calif. - Cal Poly Humboldt senior outside hitter
Graysen Trupp has been named the FloCollege/CCAA Volleyball Offensive Player of the Week for the week of Sept. 21-27.
Trupp helped the Lumberjacks earn victories over Menlo and Cal State Monterey Bay, totaling 32 kills without committing an attacking error across eight sets. She averaged 4 kills per set and produced a .627 hitting percentage on 51 attacks while adding three total blocks.
The Salt Lake City local opened the week with 17 kills on 31 attacks in Humboldt's five-set victory over Menlo on Thursday. Trupp finished with a .548 hitting percentage and added a block as the Lumberjacks secured the deciding set 15-11.
Trupp followed with another efficient performance during Saturday's sweep of Cal State Monterey Bay. She recorded 15 kills on 20 attempts without an error, finishing with a .750 hitting percentage and two total blocks. Humboldt defeated the Otters by set scores of 25-20, 25-10 and 25-22.
Across the two victories, Trupp averaged 18.25 points per match. She currently ranks fifth in the CCAA in hitting percentage and 10th in kills per set.
This is Trupp's first career CCAA Offensive Player of the Week award. She is the first Lumberjack to receive the conference's offensive honor since
Awelina Fakalata in 2024.
Trupp was joined among the conference's weekly honorees by teammate
Phoebe Bland, who was selected as the FloCollege/CCAA Defensive Player of the Week. The two selections gave Humboldt both of the conference's weekly volleyball awards.
The victories moved Cal Poly Humboldt to 7-5 overall and 2-2 in
CCAA play. The Lumberjacks will visit Cal State San Bernardino on Friday, Oct. 2, at 5 p.m. before facing Cal State San Marcos on Saturday, Oct. 3, at 5 p.m.
