ARCATA, Calif. - Cal Poly Humboldt women's soccer returns to College Creek Field this week for a pair of CCAA matches against Cal State Los Angeles and Cal Poly Pomona.

The Lumberjacks will host Cal State LA on Friday, Oct. 2, at noon before welcoming Cal Poly Pomona on Sunday, Oct. 4, at 11 a.m. Sunday's Cal Poly Clash will also serve as Senior Day for the program.

LAST TIME OUT

Humboldt split its first conference road trip of the season to move to 5-3-2 overall and 3-1 in CCAA play.

The Lumberjacks fell 2-0 at Cal State San Bernardino before responding with a 1-0 victory over Cal State Dominguez Hills at Dignity Health Sports Park.

Sari Murphy scored the game-winner in the 86th minute against the Toros. Ari Beddoes made three saves to record the win and shutout as Humboldt earned its third victory through four conference matches.

The Lumberjacks finished with a 12-11 advantage in shots and a 4-1 edge in corner kicks against Dominguez Hills.

FACING CAL STATE LA

Humboldt will open the weekend Friday at noon against Cal State LA.

The Golden Eagles enter the week following a 1-1 draw against UC Merced. Cal State LA struck during the second minute before the Bobcats found an equalizer later in the match.

Friday's contest will begin a stretch in which Humboldt plays three of its next four matches at College Creek Field.

SENIOR DAY AND CAL POLY CLASH

The Lumberjacks will conclude the weekend Sunday at 11 a.m. against Cal Poly Pomona.

The Broncos entered the final weekend of September unbeaten and ranked No. 2 nationally. Cal Poly Pomona opened CCAA play with a 2-0 victory over Cal State LA and followed with a 4-1 win against San Francisco State.

Humboldt defeated Cal Poly Pomona 1-0 in the semifinal round of the 2025 CCAA Tournament before capturing the conference championship.

Sunday's match will serve as the annual Cal Poly Clash and Senior Day. Humboldt will recognize its senior class before kickoff.

UP NEXT

The Lumberjacks will travel to Cal State San Marcos on Friday, Oct. 9, for an 11 a.m. match before returning home to face San Francisco State on Sunday, Oct. 11, at 11 a.m.
