ARCATA, Calif. - The Cal Poly Humboldt women's soccer team returns home Thursday before traveling south for its final non-conference road match of the season. Humboldt will host UCCS on Thursday, Sept. 10, at 3 p.m. at College Creek Field. The Lumberjacks will then visit Dominican on Saturday, Sept. 12, for a noon kickoff at Kennelly Field in San Rafael.
The Lumberjacks enter the week with a 2-1-1 record and an active two-game unbeaten streak.
LAST TIME OUT
Humboldt earned a win and a tie during its trip to Hawai'i, defeating Hawai'i Pacific 3-0 before battling Hawai'i Hilo to a scoreless draw.
Sari Murphy put the Lumberjacks ahead just over two minutes into the match against Hawai'i Pacific.
Lucy Al-Chokhachy doubled the advantage in the 31st minute before
Hayden Anderson completed the scoring off an assist from Bre Mello in the 70th minute.
Humboldt outshot the Sharks 16-7 and placed nine attempts on target.
Ari Beddoes made two saves to secure the shutout.
The Lumberjacks followed the victory with another clean sheet against Hawai'i Hilo. Humboldt and the Vulcans finished nearly even statistically, with the Jacks holding a 7-6 advantage in shots. Beddoes recorded two more saves to preserve the draw.
Humboldt has not allowed a goal over its last 180 minutes and has conceded three times through four regular-season matches.
HOSTING THE MOUNTAIN LIONS
Humboldt will welcome UCCS to College Creek Field on Thursday at 3 p.m. for its first home match since the Humboldt Kickoff Classic.
The Mountain Lions enter the week with a 3-1 record after opening the season with three consecutive victories. UCCS defeated Point Loma 6-2, No. 18 Western Washington 1-0 and St. Edward's 3-1 before falling 3-2 to No. 7 Dallas Baptist on Sunday.
UCCS has scored 12 goals through its opening four matches. Taylynn Levi, Abby Stassi and Brooke Pavlich each recorded two goals in the Mountain Lions' season-opening victory over Point Loma.
Thursday's contest will be Humboldt's final non-conference home match before the beginning of CCAA play.
DUEL WITH DOMINICAN
The Lumberjacks will travel to San Rafael on Saturday to face Dominican at noon at Kennelly Field.
Dominican entered the week with a 3-1-1 record and four shutouts through its first five matches. The Penguins earned 1-0 victories over Northwest Nazarene, Menlo and San Francisco State while playing Stanislaus State to a scoreless draw. Their lone defeat came in another 1-0 decision against Chico State.
The Penguins will face Fresno Pacific on Wednesday before hosting the Lumberjacks.
Saturday's match will conclude Humboldt's early-season non-conference road schedule.

The Lumberjacks will open CCAA play Friday, Sept. 18, when they host Menlo at 3 p.m. at College Creek Field. Humboldt will remain home to face Cal State East Bay on Sunday, Sept. 20, at 2 p.m. for Youth Day.
