Johnson's Comments
“I'm really pleased with the way the team has been playing. The Chico loss was a heartbreaker. I felt as if we had he better run of play in the first half and in the second it was pretty even. But we walk away from the weekend feeling good. We are 4-2 and five of our six matches have been against regionally or nationally ranked opponents." …“(CSU) San Bernardino is a big surprise right now. A lot of people thought that they would be one of the best teams in the region at the beginning of the year. They have a new coach, so perhaps the system they are running is new and the team is not used to it yet. If that is the case, watch out and I hope that the 'sleeping giant' doesn't wake up before we get out of there." …“Cal Poly Pomona really hasn't played the types of teams that we have in the preseason. That being said, scoring a lot of goals and bringing a great record into conference play has to give you confidence. They are going to be tough and organized, but we feel that we match up well with them and are looking to get a result.”
