ARCATA - Humboldt State women's soccer was able to accomplish one goal last week, but the more important one escaped it.
   For the first time in five matches, the Lumberjacks found the back of the net last Friday, but were unable to find it again in two defeats.
   HSU will be looking to return to the scoring line but the win column with a pair of road matches at Sonoma State and Cal State East Bay.
   Jacks score but fall to #25 Coyotes
   Colette Behen ended the HSU's scoring drought in the 63rd minute, but high-powered CSU San Bernardino netted four goals scoring for the win.
   After having the lone first half goal, the 25th-ranked Coyotes added three more scores in the first 14 minutes of the second half on the way to a 4-1 victory over the Jacks.
   For the first time in over 546 minutes, Behen's corner kick into the goal put a tally on the HSU scoreboard.
   Behen took three of the seven HSU shots on the Friday afternoon, but CSU San Bernardino registered 15 shots as a team.
   Chico State hit lone goals vs. HSU
   After netting a goal on Friday, the cover went back across the net as the Lumberjacks could not find the scoring touch on Sunday.
   Chico State pelted the HSU defense with 23 shots and connected on only two, but it was enough for the 2-0 women's soccer win.
   Goalie Kelly Lukas record seven saves of the shots directed toward the visiting defensive end.
   Savannah Havranek put the lone shot on goal, while Colette Behen took the team's other two boots.

   Coach Karver's Comments on last weekend:
   "There were a number of positives from this last weekend, most notably we were able to get back on the score board, we will look to do this more heading into an important week against two very good teams."
   Behen scores for Jacks
   It was not a plethra of goals from a 'hat trick' or multiple players have a pair of goals but HSU was able to net its first goal in a long time last Friday.
   Colette Behen put her team-leading third goal into the net against CSU San Bernardino to put the team on the board for the first time in six matches.
   Lucas 3rd in saves
   Despite missing a pair of matches, HSU goalie Kelly Lukas remained third in the CCAA with 73 saves over 964 minutes in goal.
   Coach Karver's Comments on this weekend:
   "Right now we are focused on moving the program forward, in order to do that we will have some growing pains but that is only natural."
   "Results always matter and of course winning fixes everything but we have to continue to move forward and stop taking unnecessary steps back as we continue to grow the program."
