Connor Swartz Joins Men's Soccer Coaching Staff

ARCATA, Calif. – The Humboldt State men's soccer team is pleased to welcome new assistant coach Connor Swartz. Swartz's primary responsibilities consist of coordinating training sessions, working with goalkeepers, recruiting, study hall supervision and equipment management.  

Swartz was a midfielder for the Virginia Tech men's soccer team from 2012-15. He was four-time Atlantic Coast Conference Honor Roll recipient and a Strength and Conditioning Athlete of the Year in 2014. As a member of Hokies, Swartz's team advanced to the ACC Tournament three times (2012, 2014 and 2015) and punched its ticket to the NCAA Tournament during the 2015 season. 

A native of Cameron Park, Calif., Swartz attended Ponderosa High School and played for the California Development Academy club team. He earned a degree in biological sciences from Virginia Tech in 2015. His brother, Austin, was an assistant coach for Humboldt State men's soccer for two seasons and wore the Green and Gold from 2010-14, and his brother, Trevor, is a junior captain on the men's soccer team at Indiana University.
