ARCATA, Calif.---- Another county-wide power shutdown is likely for Tuesday, Oct. 29 as early as 6 a.m., due to the potential for high winds in the forecast.  As a result, campus will remain closed and classes will be canceled through the end of the day Tuesday, Oct. 29.  There are NO exceptions. 
 
PG&E announced the current wind event has passed and that power lines are currently being inspected. Power may be restored for campus sometime Monday, Oct. 28.  However, with another wind event predicted for Tuesday, PG&E is expected to cut power again Tuesday morning.
 
Due to the power shutdown and another one expected on Tuesday, the women's basketball exhibition game with Simpson University scheduled for Monday, October 28 has been canceled.  HSU's volleyball team's scheduled game with Cal State East Bay for Tuesday, October 29 has been postponed.  The make-up date will be announced at a later date.
