ARCATA, Calif--- Humboldt State Lumberjacks women's soccer team will begin a season ending three-match road trip this week with a pair of matches in Southern California. The 'Jacks will travel to Pomona, Calif., first for a 12:30pm starting match with Cal Poly Pomona this Friday, October 29. They will continue the road trip in Los Angeles this Sunday, October 31 for a 2pm match with Cal State Los Angeles. The 'Jacks will end their regular season on Thursday, November 4 with a 2pm match with Chico State.
COACHING STAFF: Coach
Grant Landy will begin his second season at the helm of the Lumberjack women's soccer program after coaching for 23 years at Concordia University-Portland. During his career, Landy has compiled a 392-92-42 record for a .786 winning percentage. He will be assisted by Lumberjack Alum
Taylor McMillin, who is in her fourth season as the top assistant for the women's soccer team.

RECAP OF LAST WEEKEND: Humboldt State started its final homestand with a 4-0 loss to No. 23 Sonoma State on Friday afternoon. They came back on Sunday on Senior Day and lost a 2-1 heartbreaker to SF State.
Kendal Spencer scored HSU's goal in the 30
th minute on a penalty kick. The Gators tied the match on an unassisted goal by Julia Hagedorn that was supposed to be a cross in the 49
th minute. SF State won the game in the 76
th minute on a goal by Alexa Avelar on a ball from Glory Smith.
Alexis Aguilar had six saves in goal for HSU who is now 3-8-4 overall and 0-6-2 in the CCAA.

LEADERS: Kendal Spencer leads the 'Jacks with her four goals and one assist with nine points. She leads the Lumberjacks with her two game-winning goals.
Clara Lenihan is right behind Spencer with three goals and one assist for seven points.
Alexis Aguilar has posted a 1.11 goals against average with 62 saves, three shutouts and a .785 saves percentage.
CCAA LEADERS: Kendal Spencer and
Alexis Aguilar are in the top ten in the CCAA in six statistical categories. Spencer is tied for fifth in game-winning goals with two. Aguilar is third in saves (62) while she is fourth in saves per game (4.11). She is also ninth in shutouts (three), shutouts per game (.200) and tenth in saves percentage (.785).
CAL POLY POMONA : The Broncos are 8-4-2 overall and 4-2-2 in the CCAA which places them in fourth in the CCAA standings. Taylor Scott leads the way for CPP with her five goals and five assists while she has one game-winning goal. Emma Barrow is right behind with her five goals and one assists while she has a team leading three game-winning goals. Sydney Williams has posted a 0.53 goals against average with eight shutouts and a .781 saves percentage. The Broncos lead the all-time series with HSU 8-5-1 with Pomona defeating the 'Jacks 1-0 in 2019 in Pomona. The last HSU win was a 3-1 victory in 2018 in Arcata.
CAL STATE LOS ANGELES: The Golden Eagles are 4-8-2 overall and 4-3-1 in the CCAA which places them tied for fifth in the CCAA with Cal State Monterey Bay. They are led by Liliana Gonzalez's three goals and one assist with two game-winning goals. Imma Pinzon also has scored three goals while Erin Schrock has three assists. Areli Reyes has posted a .818 saves percentage with a .973 goals against average. Cal State Los Angeles leads the all-time series 9-3-2 with the Golden Eagles defeating the 'Jacks 1-0 in Arcata in 2019. The last HSU win was a 1-0 win in Los Angeles in 2018.
