ARCATA, Calif--- Humboldt State's volleyball team will return to the road this weekend for a pair of California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) matches this Thursday, October 7 and Saturday, October 9. The 'Jacks will face Cal State San Marcos this Thursday at 7pm in San Marcos. They will continue their weekend road trip this Saturday afternoon at 3pm with a match in Hayward against Cal State East Bay.

Paul Castillo who is in his third season on Coach Wood's staff.
RECAP OF THIS PAST WEEKEND: Humboldt State (4-6, 2-4 CCAA) lost its only match of the weekend in three sets (25-27, 18-25, 22-25) to San Francisco State this past Thursday at Lumberjack Arena.
Lindsey McLaughlin paced HSU with her nine kills and two blocks while
Hannah Cantrell and
Nora Thompson each added seven kills. Thompson also had two service aces and Cantrell recorded two blocks.
Riley Tishlarich had a team high 16 assists hwile
Kaitlyn Patterson recorded a team leading 16 digs.
DOUBLE-DOUBLE: Lenox Loving has recorded four double-doubles this season with a season high 23 kills against Academy of Art on Sept. 11.
Riley White has recorded one double-double in HSU's win at Cal State Dominguez Hills with a 16-assist, 13-dig performance.
TEAM LEADERS: Lenox Loving leads the 'Jacks with her 80 kills followed by
Lindsey McLaughlin with 76.
Carla Crespo has a team leading 142 digs. Leading the way with her 178 assists is
Riley Tishlarich followed by
Riley White with 128. McLaughlin leads HSU with her 31 total blocks followed by
Hannah Cantrell's 25. HSU has two players with double digits in service aces in McLaughlin (15) and Crespo (11).
CCAA LEADERS: Lindsey McLaughlin and
Carla Crespo each are in the top 10 in the CCAA in four statistical categories. McLaughlin is ninth with her 15 service aces while she is tied for ninth with her .345 hitting percentage and seventh in blocks (31). Crespo is eighth with her 142 digs.

CAL STATE SAN MARCOS: The Cougars are 6-6 overall and 3-3 in the CCAA. Kassy Doering leads the way for CSUSM with her 135 kills and 38 blocks. Gracia Cordero-Barr has a team leading 188 digs and 10 service aces while Madison Turner has a team high 461 assists.
Cal State San Marcos leads the all-time series with HSU 4-2 with winning the last four meetings in a row including a five-set win in 2019 in Arcata. The last HSU win was in 2015 a three-set win in Arcata. The 'Jacks also won in four sets in 2015 in San Marcos.
CAL STATE EAST BAY: The Pioneers are 6-8 overall and 1-5 in the CCAA. They are led by Breyan Ashley's 163 kills, 145 digs, 26 blocks and 18 service aces. Megan Crecelius has a team high 250 assists while Mia Jordan leads East Bay with her 26 total blocks.
Cal State East Bay leads the all-time series with the 'Jacks 17-5 including winning the last four. HSU lost in four in Hayward and in three in Arcata in 2019. The last 'Jack win was a four-set win in Arcata in 2017.
UP NEXT: Humboldt State will return home the week of October 11 when the 'Jacks face Sonoma State in a home-away week. The 'Jacks will host Sonoma State on October 13 at 4pm and travel to Rohnert Park on October 16 for a 5pm match with the Seawolves.
