ARCATA, Calif. - The Cal Poly Humboldt women's soccer team returns to College Creek Field this week to begin conference play with a pair of home matches. The Lumberjacks will host Menlo on Friday, Sept. 18, at 3 p.m. before welcoming Cal State East Bay for Youth Day on Sunday, Sept. 20, at 2 p.m.
LAST TIME OUT
Humboldt enters conference play with a 2-2-2 record following a draw against No. 10 ranked UCCS and a narrow 1-0 loss at Dominican on Saturday.
The teams played a scoreless opening half before Dominican scored 94 seconds after the break. The Lumberjacks pushed forward in search of an equalizer and generated three second-half shots but could not overcome the early goal.
Ari Beddoes recorded five saves, including three in the second half.
Lucy Al-Chokhachy led the Lumberjacks with two shots, while
Sari Murphy and
Sloane Jockin added one apiece.
Humboldt has posted three shutouts through its first six matches and has allowed one goal or fewer in five contests.
CCAA HOME OPENER
The Lumberjacks will open CCAA play Friday against Menlo, which enters the week with a 3-1-1 record.
The Oaks have won three consecutive matches without allowing a goal, defeating Hawai'i Pacific 3-0, Jessup 4-0 and San Francisco State 3-0. Menlo has outscored its opponents 12-3 through five matches.
Friday will mark the first CCAA meeting between the programs and Humboldt's first conference contest of the 2026 campaign.
YOUTH DAY AGAINST EAST BAY
Humboldt will conclude the weekend Sunday at 2 p.m. against Cal State East Bay as part of Youth Day at College Creek Field.
The Pioneers enter the week with a 1-3 record after earning a 4-2 victory over Dominican on Monday. East Bay will open conference play at Chico State on Friday before traveling to Arcata.
Sunday's match will be the second half of a Lumberjack soccer doubleheader, following the men's match against the Pioneers at 11 a.m.
Autographs and limited edition player cards will be available postgame.

UP NEXT
The Lumberjacks will begin a two-match road trip Friday, Sept. 25, when they face Cal State San Bernardino at 3 p.m. Humboldt will then visit Cal State Dominguez Hills on Sunday, Sept. 27.
