Humboldt Ranked Fourth in CCAA Preseason Poll

ARCATA, Calif. – The Cal Poly Humboldt women's soccer team was ranked number four in the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) preseason poll as announced Thursday afternoon by the conference office.
The 'Jacks look to back up a historic season after recording 13 wins in 2023, their most in program history, as well as earning their first CCAA Tournament victory over Stanislaus State in double overtime.

Cal Poly Pomona came in ranked at the top, as they were the 2023 regular season champions and team that also put Humboldt's historic season to an end in the CCAA semifinal match last November. Also ahead of the 'Jacks are Cal State San Marcos, who has the CCAA Player of the Year in Natalie Paulson returning for her junior season. One spot ahead of Humboldt is Cal State LA, who went unbeaten in CCAA play last season. Rounding out the top five spots and right below Humboldt is NorCal rival Chico State. The 'Jacks and Wildcats are 2-2 over their last four meetings, all of which have been decided by one goal.
