ARCATA, Calif. -- Cal Poly Humboldt head men's basketball coach
Chris Tifft announced on Thursday the signing of
Jamal Briscoe.
"We are extremely excited to add Jamal as our last signee of a very busy summer," said head coach
Chris Tifft. "Jamal's experience, shot making ability and explosive athleticism will help us in many different areas this upcoming season. We look forward to him having a positive impact within our program."
The 6'3" guard from Compton comes to Humboldt as a graduate transfer from Westcliff University in Irvine with one year of eligibility remaining. Last season at Westcliff, Briscoe started 25 games and averaged 12.2 points on 43 percent shooting, 2.7 rebounds, 2 assists, and 1.6 steals. Briscoe is the Westcliff University program record holder most steals in a single game (10).
