Humboldt Athletics Hall of Fame
The 1977 Men's Cross Country Team was coached by legendary coach Jim Hunt. The Jacks finished second at the NCAA Division III National Championships which was held in Cleveland, Ohio, and finished just three points from capturing the National Championship. Scott Peters finished in 12th place and Ken Hammer finished 23rd , earning the duo All-American honors. Other top runners were Frank Ebiner, Chris Speere, Dewayne Little, Tony Munoz and Jerry Tucker. The team also won the conference championship.
