Cal Poly Humboldt Athletics

The 2011 Football Team delivered one of the most memorable seasons in Humboldt football history, capturing the Great Northwest Athletic Conference championship while finishing with a 9-1 overall record and a No. 13 national ranking.

The Lumberjacks defeated Division I UC Davis 23-16 during the Aggies' homecoming game and later defeated Central Washington in a nationally featured CBS Sports Network Division II Game of the Week matchup in front of an overflow crowd of 8,000 fans inside the Redwood Bowl.

Humboldt closed the season by avenging its lone loss of the year with a dominant 38-7 victory over Western Oregon in front of more than 6,000 fans to secure the GNAC title.
