Cal Poly Humboldt Athletics

Karges is a two-time All-American as he finished second in the nation during the 1976-77 season and sixth in the nation during the 1975-76 season.  He also finished second in the conference in 1975-76 and 1976-77.  Karges was a member of the Lumberjack wrestling team that finished second in the nation in 1977 and ninth in 1976.  HSU captured the conference championship in 1977.  He lost only one time in 19 dual matches during the 1976-77 season.
