Robin Meiggs' decorated career as head coach actually began in 1991, as she was the head rowing coach for three additional years when it was a club sport before it began the emerging transition to the NCAA in 1994. She led her teams to seven appearances at the NCAA National Championships. With Meiggs at the helm, the program won two national championships (2012, 2014), four WIRA championships (2010, 2017, 2018, 2019), and two Northwest Collegiate Rowing Conference championships (2012, 2014). She also coached the team to five other Top-3 finishes at the national championships [2003-3rd (V8), 2004-2nd, 2011-3rd, 2015-3rd, 2016-3rd (V8)]. Meiggs has been named NCAA Division II Coach of the Year three times (2011, 2012, 2014) and Northwest Collegiate Rowing Conference Coach of the Year twice (2012, 2014). In December of 2023, Robin Meiggs was inducted into the Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association (CRCA) Hall of Fame, making her the only Division II head coach in its existence to be inducted. In the classroom, Meiggs posted a 93% graduation rate of her student-athletes throughout her career. Meiggs earned a master's degree in exercise physiology from Humboldt in 1991, after earning a bachelor's in speech communications in 1990.
