Cal Poly Humboldt Athletics

The 2014 All-American was a finalist for the Cliff Harris Award for the nation’s top small college defensive player.  He was an All-Region Honoree in 2014 and a First Team All-Conference selection.  He earned Second Team All-Conference honors in 2012 and 2013.  Markarian was a three-time GNAC All-Academic Team honoree. He led the conference with 14 sacks and was ranked fourth nationally with 1.4 sacks per game. Markarian had 24 sacks in his career.
